Large Motor Activity

Social & Emotional Development Activity

Fruit Salad:  Gather some in season fruit and make a fruit salad with your child.  Allow them to help prepare it by washing the fruits.  You can let them “cut” a banana by using a butter knife or plastic knife. It is a known fact that children are more likely to eat what they help prepare.

Story Time Activity

Developmental Learning Activity

Fine Motor/Cognitive:  Using old newspapers, magazines or catalogs allow your child to cut out photos of things you might see during the summer.  Talk about those items and have your child talk about what they like about them.  If you don’t have items to cut out ask your child to draw a picture of what they like about summer and discuss those activities with your child.
